We can organise a lot of good things for our annual Festival of Lights. We can plan a route through the streets of Truro and liaise with local musicians and dance schools to keep the public entertained while they wait.
We can organise T-shirts and buckets for the 75 of you who will walk the parade and help us fundraise and we will work together with our event managers to keep 1,000 people who walk the parade safe. We look forward to seeing you all in Truro tonight, whether you arrive on foot, by car or by train or bus. We can do all of these things that make for a fantastic, safe, well attended event...but we can't control the weather!
The rain has lashed down this morning and as we write this at we can see that the wind may pick up again by lunchtime. But bear with us...we're reliably informed that the wind and rain will die down throughout the afternoon. We hope to be dry underfoot, perhaps with a gentle breeze by 6pm.
Please check our social media feeds... Google Business.... Facebook Event Page... Twitter... Instagram. We love to talk to you and answer your questions, but on Parade Day we have a full-on schedule - starting with our first broadcast interview at 8am with BBC Radio Cornwall.
Wrap up warm - a little bit of rain won't stop our parade!
